As the 2015 NFL season winds down, it’s time to start turning our attention to who will hit free agency at the conclusion of the season

NFL general managers love to talk about how the best franchises are built through the draft, but the truth is, it takes good free agency moves to build a playoff team too. Whether it is keeping hold of your home-grown talent or adding the right veteran to put you over the top, NFL Free Agency is hugely important for every team in the league.

It’s also important for every team to avoid making a huge mistake by handing out a rich, free agent contract to the wrong player. There are a lot of unemployed GMs out there who can trace their pink slips back to handing out the wrong deal to the wrong free agent. It’s a safe bet that one of these top-10 “best” free agents will get a deal so big that it handicaps his new team for years to come.

This list takes into account both the talent of the player and the positional scarcity within the NFL. For example, I might think an offensive guard is a better player than a quarterback, but you’ll find the QB higher up this list because of the value the NFL puts on the position.

Free agency, especially in the NFL can be one of the more difficult processes to get right, but it’s a gamble that sometimes is worth taking if you can in fact get it right.

With that being said, let’s have a look at who some of the best free agents on the market will be when this season comes to a close very shortly.
