5. Alshon Jeffery-Chicago Bears

It takes a really special wide receiver to crack the top-10 potential free agents list and Jeffery is just that. His ability to stretch the field and catch the ball in traffic make him one of the most dangerous wideouts around.

There are lots of teams in the NFL who struggle with quarterback inaccuracy, so having a wide receiver with the ability to catch erratic throws is very important. There may not be a better receiver in the league at bailing his quarterback out of a bad throw than Jeffery. His catch radius is gigantic and his strong hands can pluck the ball out of the air like a softball. He would be sorely missed by Jay Cutler in the Windy City.

I wonder though if Jeffery really wants to stay in Chicago. He will get numerous lucrative offers in other (warmer) cities and many of them will have better quarterback play than he’s currently enjoying. He might be looking for a way out-of-town to a better climate and a younger, better quarterback to throw him touchdowns. The Bears should make a strong effort to hang on to Jeffery but I think his mind might already be made up. Enjoy him while you can, Bears fans.
