The San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders could be meeting for the last time as rivals.

Ever since the San Diego Chargers and the Oakland Raiders came into the NFL, the two teams have had one of the greatest rivalries in the game. The two sides have always resented the other and their play on the field has always been at a physical level in the AFC West.

With both teams potentially on the move to Los Angeles, this could very well be the last time they play as rivals, as the league would probably have to send one of the teams to the NFC, if they are both in the same city. The two teams met earlier this season in San Diego with the Raiders rolling through the Chargers. As a result of the direction both teams are heading, the Raiders are a six-point favorite on Christmas Eve, according to OddsShark.com.

The OVER/UNDER has been set at 46.5, which means it could either be a defensive battle between the two teams, or it could very well go over and feature some explosive plays between the two sides. The Raiders are having their best season in years and look primed for a bright future. The Chargers meanwhile are a mess at the moment, and there could soon be a regime change in San Diego.

As for the odds and trends for Thursday night’s game, the Raiders have hit the OVER in six of their last eight home games, meaning the two sides are likely to put up points. The Chargers haven’t been very good at covering the spread over the last two seasons, and are 8-17 ATS in the last 25. This could very well mean a Raiders blowout victory. However, the Raiders aren’t good against the spread either when hosting San Diego at home, as they are 7-18 ATS. This likely means it will be a tight game between the two sides, which as a rivalry game, it should be.
