Though the two teams occupy the same city and the same home arena, the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers couldn’t be further apart in terms of success and expectations in the 2015-16 NBA season. Regardless, there will be a battle for Los Angeles on Christmas Day as the two teams will meet inside STAPLES Center.

This will be Kobe Bryant’s final Christmas Day game of his illustrious career and, given how he’s been playing lately, that could mean a vintage performance from the Black Mamba. Meanwhile, it will be the first Christmas Day game for the Lakers young stars in D’Angelo Russell and Julius Randle, if Randle is healthy enough to play. The Clippers have been up and down in the 2015-16 season, but trotting out the likes of Chris Paul and Blake Griffin on Friday gives them a distinct advantage over the Lakers.
