Peyton Manning has been linked to performance-enhancing drugs in a new report, but which one?

Well, Saturday night we all had quite the news bomb dropped on us all with the report from the Huffington Post that Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is linked to performance-enhancing drug use back in 2011. We hear reports of athletes doping all the time anymore, but when it involves a player with the profile of Manning, it tends to resonate just a little more.

With the report out, though, some might be wondering what exactly it is that Manning is being accused of taking? What exactly was one of the faces of the NFL for the better part of the last decade  allegedly putting into his body?

It really shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that the drug Manning is accused of taking is HGH. As we all know by now, mainly from the baseball world, HGH is a drug that helps your body heal at a very more rapid rate than normal. When you go through the rigors of an NFL career, you want to heal those injuries up as fast as you possibly could so you can get back out on the field with your teammates and earning your paychecks.

And, well, we certainly do know about the history that Manning has with injuries, and should this report be true, it would make sense that he was taking this.

The full report on the matter will be released on Sunday, so we’ll more than likely learn a lot more about the situation surrounding Manning here, as well as some of the other players that will be named as well.

But for right now, Manning being linked to HGH does not look good.
