Here are how the Kansas City Chiefs can clinch a playoff spot in Week 16 of the NFL season.

The NFL season has just two weeks left and the playoff picture is still murky. Fighting for a spot are the 9-5 Kansas City Chiefs, who are fortunate to host the perpetually struggling Cleveland Browns at Arrowhead Stadium.

It sets the table for the Chiefs to clinch a playoff spot on Sunday, and here is how they can get that done. It’s rather simple actually, the Chiefs can clinch if they win and either the New York Jets or Pittsburgh Steelers lose.

That’s all it takes and the Chiefs are playing postseason football. The Denver Broncos, who play the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football, are 10-4 and currently ahead in the AFC West division. That means the Chiefs aren’t only playing for a playoff spot.

If the Chiefs win, they’ll clinch a playoff spot, but also stay in the hunt for a divisional title. if the Broncos lose, and they very well could playing the Bengals, then the Chiefs and Broncos would enter Week 17 tied at 10-5.

That would set up a very interesting scenario where the Chiefs and Broncos would be competing for the AFC West in the final week of the season, even tough they don’t play each other. With the Oakland Raiders headed to Arrowhead in Week 17, the Chiefs would have to feel confident about winning and having a shot at the AFC West.
