Andrew Wiggins is a lot of things. He is a young player brimming with potential. He is one of the biggest reasons that Minnesota Timberwolves fans have hope for the future. He is one of the best young perimeter defenders in basketball. Most of all though, he is one of the best in-game dunkers that we have in the game today.

Wiggins showed off his dunking abilities plenty during his rookie season and it was against the Utah Jazz and shot blocking extraordinaire Rudy Gobert that he put down the best dunk of his young career late last March.

The Jazz and Timberwolves played again tonight in Minnesota and while Gobert was on the sidelines watching due to injury, Wiggins was not and he once again proved how electric of a dunker he is with the Wolves out in transition.

The power that Wiggins is able to generate off such a smooth takeoff is just incredible. He glides through the air with ease, allowing all his energy and effort to go towards hammering the ball through the hoop. Jazz rookie Trey Lyles probably realized all of this as he was starting to think about leaving his feet, as he very quickly decided to not try to contest Wiggins and end up on a poster.

Considering what happened to Gobert last season, I can’t really blame him either.
