Boston Celtics fans chant for Kobe Bryant (Video)

During the Celtics and Lakers game, there was an audible chant in the Boston Garden as fans chanted Kobe Bryant’s name.

The greatest rivalry in the history of professional basketball is between the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers. The two teams have more championships than any other team and there is a lot of bad blood between the two franchises, as the two have met in the NBA Finals on several occasions.

Both franchises have always done a great job of recognizing the legends on the other team, with several generations of Lakers and Celtics facing off on the biggest stage of them all.

Kobe Bryant is one of those legends that faced the Celtics in the NBA Finals on multiple occasions. With Bryant making the final trip to Boston of his career on Wednesday night, there was a tremendous show of respect from the crowd at the Boston Garden.

Chants of “Kobe!” filled the Garden, as they showed their respect to one of the greatest to ever play the game.

The two teams are forever rivals, but to see the Celtics faithful in attendance show a great deal of respect for one of the greatest to ever play, shows a lot of class.

It’s something that is a rare sight to be hold in the NBA, a Lakers player being cheered in Boston, but it’s something that should be remembered forever.
