Everything you need to know and more for how to watch the 2016 Cotton Bowl online via live stream.

Bowl Season has more or less come and gone, and here we are with the big daddy. Sure New Year’s Day is going to be plump with pigskin, but who really gives a rat’s patootie, since the heavyweights play on New Year’s Eve.

In one corner, we have College Football’s modern day dynasty, the Alabama Crimson Tide. Ever since Nick Saban left the Miami Dolphins to join Big Al down in Tuscaloosa, T-Town has been aflame. It’s not everyday a coach willingly leaves the South Florida weather and lavish business cards of being an NFLer to coach 18-to-22-year olds, but that’s just Saban’s style.

The Tide are guided by Heisman Trophy winning running back Derrick Henry. Only the second ever player from Bama to win the Heisman, Henry is a Mack Truck with pads on. He helps take the load off of Jake Coker, and really allows Lane Kiffin to open up that offense. The defense, per usual, is led by an all-world linebacker – hello Reggie Ragland – a mountian of a man in the middle – howdy, A’Shawn Robinson – and a stellar defensive back – hola, Cyrus Jones.

On the other side of things are the exemplary Michigan State Spartans. No matter how many times they’ve been counted out this year, the Spartans have found a way to pull out a victory. Against Michigan it was all but lost, and then a botched punt returned for a touchdown sealed the win. Against Ohio State it was a victory performance without injured quarterback Connor Cook that handed Urban Meyer his first Big Ten regular season loss.

Mark Dantonio is one of the game’s best coaches and top defensive minds. This one figures to be a fascinating chess match from start to finish.
