Christian McCaffrey returned a punt 63 yards to extend Stanford’s lead over Iowa in the Rose Bowl.
At this point, there should absolutely no surprises when Christian McCaffrey does something big on the field. After scoring a 75-yard touchdown from scrimmage to begin the Rose Bowl, McCaffrey delivered another big blow in the second quarter against the Iowa Hawkeyes, as he once again took the ball to the house on a long sprint.
Down 21-0, the Hawkeyes punted the ball to the Stanford Cardinal’s punt returner, who made some miraculous moves to elude all would-be tacklers. He then took off on a sprint to the end zone, which resulted in another touchdown for Stanford.
The Hawkeyes could do nothing but watch in horror as they got shredded once again by the talented running back.
The sophomore running back is on a mission to show Heisman voters why they chose the wrong player when they selected Derrick Henry over runner-up McCaffrey. He can do it all on the field and is personally hitting the Hawkeyes with several knockout blows.
He’s one of the most amazing talents that college football has ever seen and the scary thing is that he is only a sophomore. It’s great for everyone else, because that means at least another year of McCaffrey making big plays in college and creating incredible highlights.
Thanks for trying, Iowa.
