While Christian McCaffrey was being interviewed after the Rose Bowl, one guy kept yelling “Heisman” behind him.

Christian McCaffrey recorded an incredible 368 yards from scrimmage in the Rose Bowl against the Iowa Hawkeyes. The Stanford Cardinal running back put together the greatest offensive performance that the all-time classic bowl game had ever seen in it’s century-plus history.

After the big win, McCaffrey was pulled aside by almost every single reporter on the field. While he was giving an interview on ESPN, some guy standing directly behind kept ruining the interview by shouting “Heisman” every five seconds.

He would also make comments about Derrick Henry, who had won the 2015 Heisman, as it was clear that he felt McCaffrey should have won the Heisman Trophy.

Unfortunately for McCaffrey, he had to keep pausing because the guy wouldn’t shut up and stop yelling behind him on the field. No one even tried to remove him from behind the camera, which made things even worse.

It’s not clear who the guy is or how he was even lucky enough to have the access to get on the field, but he was a major distraction. No one wanted to hear him talk about his thoughts on McCaffrey, because everyone wanted to actually hear McCaffrey speak.

Too often, there’s too many cases of people trying to steal the show while the camera is on them and make it all about themselves. This guy is no different, and ruined what should have been a great moment for McCaffrey.

The good news is that for how annoying the guy was, everyone will remember McCaffrey’s performance in the game instead of him.
