Jim Harbaugh finished a great first season at Michigan and Colin Kaepernick wanted to congratulate him.

The Michigan Wolverines absolutely trounced the Florida Gators in the Citrus Bowl on Friday, bringing to a close one heck of a first season for Jim Harbaugh. When Harbaugh went back to his alma mater prior to this season beginning following a falling out with the San Francisco 49ers, it was expected he would turn it around a little bit, but not many people thought 10 wins would be a possibility.

But, after that win over Florida, that’s exactly how many wins he finished with, meaning that congratulations are certainly in order for one of the best coaches in all of college football. One of the congrats that he got, though, was a little more significant than the others.

After the win down in Florida, his former 49ers quarterback, Colin Kaepernick, wanted to give his old coach a little shout out.

Kaepernick and Harbaugh were always a fearsome duo together, as they made it to two NFC title games and a Super Bowl, which they nearly won. After struggling this season, it was pretty evident that Harbaugh and his scheme were a pretty big reason the former Nevada quarterback became such a big name in the NFL, and you know he has to miss his old coach.

But, for now, this was a nice gesture toward his old head man.

Also, was this a little bit of trolling at the 49ers’ expense?
