Joey Bosa’s college football career came to a screeching halt at the Fiesta Bowl when he was ejected for targeting.Â
One of the biggest names in College Football this year was star Ohio State defensive lineman Joey Bosa. Not only was he perhaps the best defensive player of the year, but he was getting NFL Draft buzz all season long and seems tone a lock to be a top five pick this spring.
But if you want to watch Bosa play football, you’ll have to wait until he’s suited up for an NFL team. That’s because his career at the collegiate level came to a grinding halt in the first quarter of the New Year’s Day Fiesta Bowl.
With just over five minutes to go in the opening quarter, Bosa was flagged for targeting and kicked out of the game.
Some called it soft, others called it justified. No matter, the call was made and Bosa’s career ends with a dud — much like how his final season started thanks to a suspension.
Twitter microwaved some hot takes to toss out to the world, as the best defensive player in college football getting kicked out of his final game is a little more than noteworthy.
Dang they gone eject Bosa & end his career like that

How can you kick out the best player in the nation in his last college game? But we'll be seeing Bosa in the pros...#1 pick

Bosa was in wrong, but kicking people out on first offense is crazy. Rule needs changed #OSU #FiestaBowl
