As he battles through injury this season, Peyton Manning is seeing his jersey sales dwindle slightly.

If there has been one story that has been the primary focus of the NFL this season, it’s been Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning battling through injury. After getting off to a rather slow start for his standards this season, Manning was suffering from a foot injury that would keep him out for a few weeks and turn the reins of the offense over to young Brock Osweiler.

Now, whenever a player is sidelined with injury for a significant amount of time, you wonder if their popularity might dwindle just a little bit. Of course, this means that they might see a dip in their jersey sales. But, would a player like Manning actually see a drop even if he’s not on the field?

Well, he did.

According to the DICK’S Sporting Goods Jersey Report, which reflects sales both nationwide and online, Manning has seen a drop in his jersey sales, but it was really a rather small one at just an average of two spots.

It’s a drop, but again, it’s not really all that significant of one.

Aside from the injury maybe playing a part in this, you also have to realize that we are at the tail-end of Manning’s career, which also could be a factor as well. But the fact remains that sitting on the sidelines for a few weeks did nothing to really help matters in this regard.
