Pittsburgh Panthers wide receiver Tyler Boyd has officially declared for the 2016 NFL Draft.

This is the time of the year in college football that players begin declaring for the NFL Draft. With bowl season wrapping to a close soon, many players have already declared for the 2016 NFL Draft, while many will be making their intentions of leaving for the draft known very soon.

Pittsburgh Panthers wide receiver Tyler Boyd is the latest player in college to declare for the 2016 NFL Draft. After the Panthers lost in the Military Bowl against Navy, the junior wide receiver thought it was the right time to make that next move and get ready to play on Sundays.

He even sent out a nice message detailing his football career to date, from playing as a kid to his career as a member of the Panthers.

Boyd is a talented and fast wide receiver with a lot of potential. Currently, he’s slated to be a day-two pick, but if he can put together a good combine, he might be able to raise his stock to an early day-two selection or better.

He also could stand to fill out his frame a little bit, so that he can handle the abuse and strain of playing at the most physical level. Still, he possesses raw talent and has all the potential to be a great wide receiver in the NFL.

Boyd knows this and that’s why he is ready to take the leap to play at the next level.
