Who will the Washington Redskins select with their first round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft?

Who would have thought that the Washington Redskins would be facing a late-first round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft? After the first eight games of the season, it seemed like Washington would be an early-pick team potentially looking for a new quarterback, but the Redskins have been on fire lately, winning the NFC East thanks to a 6-2 home record and the emergence of Kirk Cousins.

Now that Cousins has proven himself over the past couple of months, passing for about 2,500 yards, 20 touchdowns and just three interceptions following a slow start, the Redskins need to start building around their new franchise QB.

Adding a receiver, or two, would be a nice choice in the early rounds while offensive line help, at the center and tackle positions, is also crucial. Don’t forget about the secondary as drafting a cornerback needs to be a priority — even though they could get a good one in the middle rounds — and defensive line depth needs to improve.

There are many needs for this young, growing team and they can be filled with this draft in which the Redskins currently have eight picks over the course of seven rounds. Sitting down to look at the biggest needs, projected round for each player and best available, we have put together what we believe to be the perfect scenario for Washington in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Take a look at the Redskins complete seven-round mock and let us know if you agree or disagree with any of the selections as well as order.
