Christian McCaffrey’s performance at the Rose Bowl is one that will go down in the record books.
The 2015 college football season for Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey was tremendous. Despite being in the Pac-12, which doesn’t get as much media coverage as the SEC and ACC, he put his name on the map by showing off his skills as one of the best players in the nation. The future NFL draft pick also was up for the Heisman Trophy, which went to Alabama running back Derrick Henry.
During today’s Rose Bowl game, the Iowa Hawkeyes and Stanford Cardinal went head-to-head. While these two teams had terrific years, Stanford dominated the game. Not surprisingly, they were led by McCaffrey, who had himself an awesome game.
McCaffrey’s performance was so good that it broke the Rose Bowl all-purpose yardage record with over 346 all-purpose yards. This broke Wisconsin’s Jarrad Abbrederis’ record from 2012.

This caps off a terrific year for Stanford’s running back. Luckily for them, he’ll be back for the 2016 season and will try to lead the Cardinal to the College Football Playoff, which they barely missed out on this year.
Following that, McCaffrey will go on to be an NFL draft pick in 2017 and be seen on Sundays for years to come.
