According to the Italian international’s agent, both Arsenal and Paris St-Germain are keen to land Napoli’s Lorenzo Insigne.

Napoli’s Lorenzo Insigne has had a stellar season under new head coach Maurizio Sarri. The Italian international has flourished under Sarri’s tutelage, scoring eight goals and providing six assists in 20 matches in all competitions during the current campaign. Although the boy from Naples claims he would like to stay at his hometown club for life, he has garnered interested from clubs across the continent, including Arsenal and Paris St-Germain.

In a recent interview, the 24-year-old’s agent, Antonio Ottaiano, suggested that both European giants are interested in his client.

"“PSG and Arsenal are clubs at the top of the world and their interest is certainly gratifying, but right now Lorenzo is only thinking about Napoli,”"

The impressive winger is in his fourth full season with the Partenopei, but came up through the club’s youth system and is often regarded as the team’s version of Roma legend, Francesco Totti. The “King of Rome” opted to stick with his hometown club for his entire career, turning down big money moves to Real Madrid and other European powerhouses along the way.

"“His contract expires in 2019 and Lorenzo Insigne has repeatedly said that he wants to stay at Napoli for life,” said Ottiano earlier in the season."

Any move for the young Italian won’t be an easy one to make, especially during the January transfer window. Napoli currently sit third in the Serie A table, just one point behind league leaders, Inter. They also reached the knockout rounds of the UEFA Europa League, as they were the only team in all of Europe to win all six of their group stage matches in continental competition.

Napoli will be in action next on Wednesday, when they host Torino at the San Paolo at 2:45 p.m. ET.
