The 2015 AFC playoff picture.

The Denver Broncos were able to beat the San Diego Chargers despite turning over the ball five times, and earned home field advantage throughout the postseason. Denver was able to get to the top seed thanks to a brutal loss by the New England Patriots, who fell earlier in the day against the Miami Dolphins, 20-10.

Here are the matchups going into Wild Card round:

3. Cincinnati Bengals vs. 6. Pittsburgh Steelers
4. Houston Texans vs. 5. Kansas City Chiefs

The Broncos are the top seed, while New England is the second seed.

Meanwhile, the main drama of the day played out in the early window. The New York Jets simply needed to beat the Buffalo Bills and they would make the postseason, but New York could not get the job done. Buffalo pulled off the home win, getting a 22-17 victory. The Jets’ loss coupled with the Pittsburgh Steelers win over the Cleveland Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium. Pittsburgh is the sixth seed.

Around the AFC, the Houston Texans clinched the AFC South with a thrashing of the Jacksonville Jaguars, while the Cincinnati Bengals earned their 12th win of the year with a beating of the Baltimore Ravens. The Kansas City Chiefs continued to roll, winning their 10th straight contest by topping the Oakland Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium, 23-17.
