(7-9). Previous: . Philadelphia Eagles. 21. team. 54.
After two consecutive 10-win seasons, the Philadelphia Eagles were the sexy pick among a lot of people to come away with the NFC East title and earn another trip to the playoffs. Well, as we know now, things didn’t quite work out that way. They did win their final game on Sunday in Week 17 over the New York Giants, but they finished the year at just 7-9.

Now, the rebuilding of this franchise is about to begin.

Changes will of course start at the top, as they search for a replacement for Chip Kelly, whom the team decided to fire this past week. The relationship just obviously wasn’t working out there and it made sense for the two to part ways. As of this writing, the Eagles are one of the teams out of the playoffs that will begin their rebuild by hiring a new head man.

Then there are some personnel issues. Sam Bradford just didn’t look like the answer at all this season, and that might not have been just a product of him not fitting in Kelly’s system. Also, will they now hire a coach who can appease the running style of DeMarco Murray? Now this is someone that we soon found out was in fact NOT someone that fit into the Kelly system with his downhill running technique.

The off-season moves are about to begin, and you can bet a lot of people will be watching what the Eagles do.
