Could Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles of New Japan fame be on their way to WWE?

Wrestle Kingdom 10 again set the tone for the year in professional wrestling as the stars of New Japan Pro Wrestling absolutely tore the house down to kick off 2016. Among the many top-tier matches on the card was a matchup for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship between Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles, two of the company’s biggest stars. Less than 24 hours after Wrestle Kingdom, it seems like Nakamura-Styles might be something fans could see in a WWE ring sometime soon.

After reports earlier on Monday via MLW that Nakamura, Styles, and Styles’ fellow Bullet Club members in Doc Gallows and “Machine Gun” Karl Anderson all turned in their notices to New Japan after Wrestle Kingdom. That’s when Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer took it one step further by saying that WWE is after all four wrestlers and that all four indeed told NJPW that they are on their way out:

Only further adding to the speculation, Styles happens to be following someone quite curious on Twitter that he wasn’t before—WWE COO and NXT mastermind Triple H:

Wrestling fans have long been pining for WWE and Triple H to go after the likes of Nakamura and Styles and even the other members of the Bullet Club in Gallows and Anderson. With the hype coming out of Wrestle Kingdom, this is certainly a timely move by WWE.

Moreover, the stage is set for at least the members of Bullet Club to carve out an immediate role in NXT alongside Finn Balor. As Prince Devitt in New Japan, Balor founded the Bullet Club and has since been given a Balor Club label in NXT. Could these potential newcomers comprise the Balor Club? As a wrestling fan, lets certainly hope so.
