Ranking every Kansas City Chiefs starting quarterback since 1993.

The Kansas City Chiefs have gone 22 years since their last playoff win. That victory came against a team that no longer exists in the Houston Oilers, in a game that pitted Joe Montana against Buddy Ryan. It was a classic, with the Chiefs prevailing thanks to 21 fourth-quarter points at the Astrodome.

The following week, Montana was knocked out when the Buffalo Bills sandwiched him in the third quarter of the AFC Championship game, ending Kansas City’s dream of a Super Bowl. Including that game, the Chiefs have not been able to taste elusive postseason success, despite making it back to the playoffs in three of the next four seasons and seven times overall since 1993.

Perhaps the main reason has been the atrocious quarterback play. The Chiefs have struggled to find the right man under center for the better part of that 22-year drought, save for perhaps one or two good players. It has been an utter circus, starting under general manager Carl Peterson and extending right through the Scott Pioli disaster.

Since last advancing in the postseason, the Chiefs have trotted out 14 starting quarterbacks. Because we here at FanSided are sick in the head, we decided to rank each one of them based on their play in Kansas City. Strap it down!
