High Salary C

Pau Gasol-Chicago Bulls (8,000): Gasol is expensive tonight against Boston, but he has produced 52 and 55 fantasy points in his last two starts and has at least 40 fantasy points in six of his last nine games.  Since Joakim Noah’s injury, Gasol has been rolling along and has multiple blocks in each of his last nine games while averaging 20.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 3.0 blocks over that span.  Gasol had 16 points, 15 boards, and two blocks against Boston in their first meeting, and he is historically a Celtics nemesis. Boston is still figuring out its front court rotation and dealing with some injuries up front to their better defensive options. Given his current run of production and a good matchup against a Boston front court that has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing PF over their last ten games, Gasol is probably one of the stars who is worth his price tonight. ∗∗

Dwight Howard-Houston Rockets (7,100): Howard is another one of the Rockets ready for a rematch with the Jazz tonight.  Utah won’t have Rudy Gobert or Derrick Favors again tonight, and Howard will be looking for his fifth double-double in a row after finishing Monday’s game against the Jazz with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Howard has at least 37 fantasy points in four straight and had over 54 fantasy points in two of his last four games.  Based on his price, Howard could be a better value than Pau, but there is more risk involved than rolling with the big Spaniard in the middle. ∗ UPDATE: HOWARD IS A GAMETIME DECISION AND SHOULD NOT BE IN YOUR LINEUP.
