High Salary PG

Isaiah Thomas-Boston Celtics (7,800): IT2 and the Celtics lost to the Pistons last night and now have to tangle with the Bulls in Chicago.  Boston won’t have Avery Bradley for tonight’s game, so more of the scoring load will likely fall to Thomas.  He struggled with his shot last night, but eventually he made it to 22 points and ten assists with a late surge.  He finished with 48.25 fantasy points giving him at least 35 in each of his last five games. When the Bulls and Celtics played about a month ago, Thomas had 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists.  He should be good for at least similar production tonight, and unless we get a very definitive answer on Rondo’s status with Sacramento, Thomas is the only option over 7K on the board tonight.

Ish Smith (6,900): Smith hasn’t taken long to adjust to his new team since the Sixers reacquired him right around Christmas.  Smith had 21 points and 11 assists on Monday against Minnesota giving him three games with at least 40 fantasy points in his last five outings.  He is a volatile play since his other two outputs (12 fantasy points and 21.25 fantasy points) left a lot to be desired, but he has incredible upside as he and the Sixers try to hang with the Hawks in the first game of the night. Ish is boom-or-bust, but since he’s at home and getting such high usage I like him to return a nice game at this price point. ∗∗

Darren Collison-Sacramento Kings (6,000):  Collison got the start in place of an ailing Rajon Rondo in Dallas on Tuesday and finished with 14 points, 12 assists, and two steals in a massive 47 minutes in the Kings double-OT loss.  He had a total of 41 fantasy points in that contest and has actually been a fairly consistent contributor of at least 25 fantasy points even when Rondo has been active. Collison has at least 25 fantasy points in six of his last eight games, and against the Lakers woeful defensive backcourt he’s a good play tonight.  If he starts in place of Rondo, Collison moves into must-play territory, but even coming off the bench or starting alongside Rondo he can give you enough to make him worth his 6K against LA who allows the most fantasy points to opposing PG by quite a wide margin. With Rondo-∗ No Rondo-
