Kyrie Irving put Andrew Wiggins through the blender with some mean crossovers

The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Minnesota Timberwolves faced off on Friday night in the Target Center with some interesting narratives playing out. Not only was it Kevin Love again returning to his former home, but also Andrew Wiggins again playing against the Cavs team that drafted him and traded him for Love. While Wiggins was scoring and affecting the game early on, Cavs point guard Kyrie Irving decided to take the youngster to school a little bit.

With the Wolves having jumped out to an early lead, Wiggins was matched up with Irving on the perimeter. Kyrie then started cooking off the dribble, unleashing a series of his wicked crossovers on the young wing to ultimately torch him and make his way to the rim for the easy bucket:

Wiggins’ ankles weren’t shattered or anything on the play, but Kyrie certainly put Wiggins through the blender on that play. Even just recently coming back from injury, that’s kind of what the Cavs point guard does.

Kyrie has been progressing quickly since being reinserted into the Cavs lineup and is already looking mostly like the Kyrie of old. When he fully reaches that point, the rest of the Eastern Conference better brace themselves.
