According to a report, Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase has emerged as a top candidate for the Miami Dolphins.

It’s getting to the part of the schedule in the season for the NFL where some teams will begin making their next move and hiring a new head coach. After completing interviews, some coaches have emerged as top candidates for certain openings in the league.

In Miami, Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase has emerged as the top candidate for the head coaching position, according to the Miami Herald.

"There’s growing momentum within the organization for the Dolphins to hire Adam Gase, the Miami Herald has learned. Gase also interviewed Friday with the New York Giants.Gase, the offensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears, is the hottest name in this year’s coaching carousel. And he was always high on Stephen Ross’ list — whose opinion matters the most.If the Dolphins do indeed hire Gase, as some in the building believe could happen this weekend, he will be the eighth consecutive Dolphins coach with no prior NFL head-coaching experience."

Gase certainly has been the hot coaching candidate for the last couple of seasons in the NFL. He’s seen as one of the top young offensive minds in the game and his work speaks for itself. He did a great job with the Denver Broncos‘ offense and he helped Bears quarterback Jay Cutler have a resurgent season at the quarterback position.

He could be exactly what the Dolphins need, as they have plenty of talented pieces on offense, but haven’t seem to be able to put it together. The team thinks young quarterback Ryan Tannehill is the quarterback of the future in Miami, but he has yet to hit his full potential.

With Gase’s record at coaching offenses, he might be just the guy that they need and it’s abundantly clear that he has left an impression on them. Taking that big leap from coordinator to head coach is always a big one and sometimes guys find out that they are better as a coordinator than a head coach.

However, Gase has the backing of many from around the league and his work ethic speaks for itself. If he is indeed the guy in Miami, then there should be plenty to be excited about for the Dolphins.
