Thunder guard Russell Westbrook is still wearing crazy things, this time rocking a Slayer t-shirt and old-man glasses

Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook can do basically whatever he wants on a basketball court. There aren’t many players in the entirety of the NBA that can hang with his raw athleticism coupled with his intensity on the court. However, his demeanor on the hardwood is nothing in comparison to the intensity of his fashion choices.

Seemingly as he does on a game-to-game basis at this point, Westbrook showed up to STAPLES Center on Friday night ahead of OKC’s matchup with the lowly Los Angeles Lakers wearing a Slayer t-shirt full of holes, some tight red pants, a bandana, and topping the look off with a pair of glasses that your grandpa probably wore at one point or another:

Not that anyone has any right to tell Westbrook anything about his fashion choices considering he’s one of the NBA’s most dominant players (and a human being, as well), but sometimes his stylistic choices are just flabbergasting.

Even ESPN’s SportsCenter got in on the trolling of Westbrook, comparing this look to that of John Clayton in one of their better commercials:

Maybe this is the source of his power, though. Maybe if Westbrook showed up to games wearing a regular shirt and tie, he wouldn’t be one of the most dominant athletes in the world.

Or maybe he’s just a little bit strange—which is perfectly fine if it means fans get to be entertained by choices such as this.
