North Dakota State linebacker Nick DeLuca came up with a beautiful diving interception in the FCS Championship game.

The North Dakota State Bison have been the most dominant force in FCS college football over the past few years as they have reeled off four-straight titles in the FCS division. On Saturday afternoon they were looking for their fifth in a row against the Jacksonville State Gamecocks with star quarterback Carson Wentz returning from injury for the first time since October. However, it was their defense and linebacker Nick DeLuca that came up with a huge first half play.

With the Bison having jumped out to a 10-0 lead, the Gamecocks were trying to put together a drive to get back into the game. Jacksonville State quarterback Eli Jenkins dropped back and made a throw across the middle of the field. However, DeLuca came streaking across, making a beeline for the ball, and dove to pick off Jenkins and make a remarkable interception:

With how explosive the Bison offense has been this season, a big defensive play like that can really be a deathblow for the Gamecocks. That only was further emphasized as North Dakota State capitalized on the turnover by marching down the field again for a rushing touchdown by Wentz that gave them a 17-0 lead.
