Toronto Blue Jays may not be done making trades and could move R.A. Dickey.

This week the Toronto Blue Jays made a trade dealing outfielder Ben Revere and a player to be named later to the Washington Nationals for reliever Drew Storen.

Jeff Blair, of Sportsnet.ca and Sportsnet 590 The FAN, is reporting that the Blue Jays may not be done dealing and could consider dealing starting pitcher R.A. Dickey.

Dickey, age 41, has had a successful career since starting during the 2001 season with the Texas Rangers. His career has taken him to the Seattle Mariners, Minnesota Twins and the New York Mets. He has a record of 100-93 and a career ERA of 3.97 over his 13 year career. The highlight of his career was during the 2012 season when he won the Cy Young award as a member of the Mets organization. During that season he went 20-6 with a 2.73 ERA over 33 starts. He also led the National League striking out 230 men.

Dickey arrived in Toronto as part of a blockbuster trade on December 16, 2012 from the New York Mets. He arrived in Toronto along with catcher Josh Thole and Mike Nickeas in a deal that was viewed as elevating the Blue Jays into playoff contention for the first time since 1993. The 2015 season was finally the time when the team made the playoffs and won a series against the Texas Rangers, before losing to the Kansas City Royals.

The Blue Jays rotation currently consists of Dickey, Marcus Stroman, Drew Hutchison, J.A. Happ and Jesse Chavez. There’s also some discussion that reliever Aaron Sanchez could be moved from the bullpen to the starting rotation.

On November 3, 2015 Dickey’s $12 million contract was exercised.

Exciting times are ahead for Canada’s baseball team.
