Laquon Treadwell. 3. player. 13.
The Chargers are staring down the barrel of a new location and would like to make a splash pick. If there’s anything that the injury-riddled 2015 campaign showed us it’s that the team needs both help and depth in a lot of areas. Offensive line, cornerback and receiving are major points of concern.

Given that trio, the Chargers opt for the best player at the top position of need, featured wide receiver: Laquon Treadwell. That distinction alone says something for Treadwell, because this class is littered with talent at receiver – Tyler Boyd, Josh Doctson, Corey Coleman and Michael Thomas to name a handful.

Treadwell is a burner of the highest order, and boasts the quickness and top-end speed to burn any player set up against him. At 6’2, 210 lbs his size is moderate, but the route-running and speed make up for it.

This pick gives Philip Rivers a safety blanket for the first time since Antonio Gates was in his prime alongside Malcom Floyd. The team has whiffed on its recent offensive picks for the backfield, so it’s banking that Treadwell can stem that tide. For a team looking for a shot of adrenaline heading to a new home in La La Land, Treadwell hits the perfect mark.
. WR. Ole Miss
