Nick Saban loses his mind over Deshaun Watson scramble (Video)
Nick Saban reacted less than favorably to Deshaun Watson scramble
The Alabama Crimson Tide were trying to hold onto a lead in the second half of the College Football Playoff National Championship, but Clemson Tigers quarterback Deshaun Watson had other plans. Watson led a drive down the field to push the Tigers ahead at the end of the third quarter, but there was one Watson play in particular left Alabama head coach Nick Saban less than pleased.
As he’d been doing all game, Watson escaped Alabama pressure and used his rushing ability to turn what should’ve been a loss into a big gain for Clemson. Cut to Saban on the sideline who was a bit perturbed at what just transpired:
Saban showing emotion is always the best thing because I’m pretty sure he has two states of being. He’s either the stoic rock of the Crimson Tide football program or he’s on the brink of breaking anything, everything, and anyone that comes in his path. It’s fantastic.
As stated, Saban and Alabama lost the lead on the drive where Watson scrambled as the Tigers capped the drive off with a touchdown. If the Crimson Tide players want to save themselves, they’ll make a comeback in the fourth quarter. Just look at how he treats that headset; the Alabama players don’t want to suffer the same fate.
