Projected Top 25 2016 college football rankings

Now that the 2015 college football season is out of the way, what might the Top 25 look like to begin the 2016 season. 

Monday night the 2015 college football season officially ended as we crowned a new national champion in Glendale, Arizona. It’s sad that this amazing season had to come to a close, but now that means we can all start looking forward to the next season of the sport that we love so much — college football.

These days, really, college football is a 12-month-per-year sport if you’re a big enough fan. While the games might not be played on the field, there is still a lot that you can pay attention to as you gear up for the new season next September. Of course, that also means that we can all begin to wonder what the Top 25 rankings might look like to start the season in 2016.

Like them or not sometimes, the rankings in college football are really the end all be all. While teams to tend to come from behind in the rankings as the season goes along, the fact remains that a high ranking to start the season can significantly help you down the road. If you lose early enough in the season and are ranked high, then the chances of getting back up there as you continue to win throughout the season are pretty good.

So, with that said, let’s take a quick peek at what the college football Top 25 rankings might look like this coming August when they’re released.

This probably won’t be what it actually turns out to be once the month of August hits, but it sure is fun to think about what we might get when a new college football season graces us with its presence later this year.
