What moves do the Cleveland Cavaliers need to make as they try to bring home an NBA title?

The Cleveland Cavaliers are in great shape right now. They have one of the best all-around players in the league in LeBron James. Kyrie Irving, Mo Williams, and Matthew Dellavedova provide the Cavaliers with three excellent options at point guard. J.R. Smith is at worst a good guy to bring off the bench for some scoring. Iman Shumpert provides solid depth at shooting guard in case Smith falters. Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson, and Timofey Mozgov provide the Cavs with depth at power forward and center.

They are light years better than the 2014-2015 Cavs were at the trade deadline. They are deeper and better. However, that doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t be active in trying to improve their team. They could still stand to use an upgrade at shooting guard and power forward. Depending on what they do with Mozgov, the Cavaliers could also use some depth at center. Their perimeter game needs another option.

The Cavs don’t need to make huge moves like they had to last season. But they do need to make these three moves to cement themselves as NBA title contenders.
