. F. New Orleans Pelicans. Ryan Anderson. 1. player. 69

The Cavs are in it to win it. If they want to make a huge deadline move, they’d be wise to go with Morris. However, Morris could be cheap, meaning that they could afford another big deadline move. Ryan Anderson of the New Orleans Pelicans would solve the Cavs stretch four depth and give them two of the best shooting big men in the NBA. Anderson would give the Cavaliers the opportunity to match the Warriors firepower.

Anderson would likely require quite the hall. However, the Cavaliers do still have a 2018 first rounder. They could also offer up Mozgov. The Pelicans would be wise to accept that trade if they feel confident that they can sign Mozgov long-term. Even that might not be enough. The Cavs likely win the NBA title that they’ve been searching for. The Pelicans potentially solidify the paint with Anthony Davis and Mozgov. That’s a trade that both fanbases can get behind.

Acquiring Anderson could give the Cavs some flexibility regarding Kevin Love. Love hasn’t been the superstar that the Cavs thought he would be. He might be best off being traded after this season. If that’s the case, Cleveland could afford to keep Ryan Anderson and afford to pursue another stretch four on top of that.
