Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon cleaned the glass and put down a vicious putback dunk.

Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon is finally beginning to find his spot in this league by playing the glass and watching the ball. The young forward has struggled early in his career to carve out a role, but lately he’s been finding his way a little bit.

He’s great at big dunks and can patrol the offensive glass for a chance for a big highlight slam off the rebound. Against the Atlanta Hawks on Martin Luther King Day, Gordon threw down one of his most vicious putback slams yet.

After Magic rookie Mario Hezonja missed a layup, Gordon was right there to leap over the Hawks’ Kent Bazemore for the nasty putback slam.

If Gordon can keep developing his interior game and make moves like this on a more consistent basis, then he’s quickly going to find himself in a big role in this league.

He has shown that he has the talent to be a difference maker in the NBA, but it’s all about putting that talent together and him working within his strengths to get better.

It’s clear that he is becoming a lot stronger at crashing the glass and making highlights like this one happen.
