Ish Smith gets put on ice skates vs. Knicks (Video)
Philadelphia 76ers point guard Ish Smith got put on ice skates on defense by the New York Knicks‘ Langston Galloway.
The Martin Luther King Day game between the Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks was one of the most exciting games of the season on the year. Despite the fact the 76ers have the worst record in the league, they have been a completely different team since the end of December with the addition of Ish Smith at point guard.
Against the Knicks on Monday afternoon, Smith and the 76ers took the Knicks to double overtime and Smith himself a had a few highlights of his own on the day. He also had some moments where he ended up on the wrong side of the highlights.
During the second overtime against the Knicks, Smith was put on ice skates by the Knicks’ Langston Galloway. Smith bit on defense and went one way, while Galloway went straight to the hoop for the impressive layup.
While Smith went completely the other way on defense, it would have helped if Robert Covington knew to drop back and take Galloway. Nonetheless, it was a savvy play by Galloway to make shake off the speedy Smith.
Smith certainly had himself quite the day in New York.
