The Philadelphia 76ers may be bad, but so are the Phoenix Suns. Even with the 76ers in all-out tank mode, this trade could be one the 76ers may want to consider.

Morris is 26-years old and a Philadelphia native. The 76ers would likely have to send either Joel Embiid, Nerlens Noel, or Jahlil Okafor to make the deal work, but having as many young assets as the Sixers have and then flipping them in trades seems to be the mantra as of late.

Philly may have only four wins on the year, but their tanking philosophy can’t continue for much longer. Building a team around Morris and two of the other three bigs could help the 76ers become a strong defense-first frontcourt, a place where head coach Brett Brown can start to establish an identity to make the strong basketball city of Philadelphia proud.

Philadelphia likely has to spend more money to hit the salary cap floor and probably has a few players on its 15-man roster that they aren’t crazy about, but Phoenix might be. A two or three-for-one type of deal would be both unorthodox, yet intriguing for the Sam Hinkie front office. Morris could help give his hometown 76ers some hope, so that could play a part in this hypothetical deal.
