After getting his $50 million deal from the Marlins, Dee Gordon just really wanted his McDonald’s fix.

It’s been quite the nice week for Miami Marlins second baseman Dee Gordon. After a stellar season in 2015 which saw him come away the National League batting champion, the team rewarded the young star quite handsomely with a brand new $50 million contract. After making just south of $5 million over the course of his first four years in Major League Baseball, this is a pretty big deal for one of the best players in the game.

With his first big contract, though, you’d expect he’s be taking to social media and showing off his new Lamborghini he bought himself, or maybe his new Rolex that will blind you with the diamonds. Nah, that’s not the case with the Marlins second baseman.

Here’s a pretty interesting timeline from Monday.

First, Gordon addressed his contract and thanked everyone appropriately.

Not very long after, Gordon tweeted about his first purchase since becoming a very rich player — Chicken McNuggets from McDonald’s.

You have to respect someone like that, a player that’s now very wealthy yet staying pretty humble. If he was hungry at that point he could have hopped on a jet and went to Tao in New York City, but no. The man, no matter how rich he is, just wanted his nuggets so he got his nuggets!
