Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan connect on lob in Cleveland (Video)
Los Angeles Clippers‘ Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan connected on a huge lob early in the game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
“Lob City” is on the road taking on the Cleveland Cavaliers on national television on Thursday night, and the bevy of stars playing in the game is at a high. Two of those star players, Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan, put points on the board early for the Los Angeles Clippers, when Paul served up a beautiful lob for Jordan.
With Paul driving, it looked like he would blow past Kyrie Irving and go in for the layup. Instead, he trusted Jordan to go up and slam home a lob. It was a risky proposition considering Timofey Mozgov and Kevin Love were right there manning the interior, but Paul put the shot in a place that only Jordan could go get it.
This is Clippers basketball at it’s finest and when they’re connecting on lobs, they’re a dangerous team to beat because of the momentum that the big plays offensively give them.
As for the Cavaliers, it’s a little concerning that two defenders were manning the interior and didn’t make much of an effort to stop the lob.
It’s probably more Paul’s ability to throw up a great lob and catch Cleveland off guard, but still it’s a concerning sight.
