Dirk Nowitzki hits game-winner vs Lakers, gets love from Kobe Bryant (Video)

Dirk Nowitzki nailed the game-winner against the Lakers and he even got some love from Kobe. 

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks played on Tuesday night, and maybe to the surprise of a lot of people, this one actually went down to the wire with the Lakers being competitive. However, in the end, they were put away by none other than Dirk Nowitzki.

With time running down in the fourth quarter, the game was all tied up at 90, that was until Dirk put it all to bed by nailing in this jumper to eventually give the Mavericks the 92-90 win.

Oh, and maybe the best part of all this? Well, that was the fact that after he hit the shot, he got some love from Kobe Bryant on the bench, who was actually sitting this one out this evening.

Hey, this was just some respect from one legend to another. I mean, the whole thing was set up perfectly for this moment. Not only did Dirk hit the game-winner, but he did it right in front of Kobe who was sitting there on the bench with a suit on.

Really, you couldn’t script the moment any better.

Well, actually, you could if you were the Lakers. Julius Randle actually making that three as time expired to win the game might have been a little better.
