FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-January 27
There are eight NBA games on tap for this Wednesday, January 27 which gives you a good chance to play DFS Fantasy basketball with the help of my FanDuel daily picks.
The NBA has eight games to get us over the hump this week with nice matchups across the schedule tonight including a rare revenge-game for the Warriors, the 76ers looking to make it two straight, and the Clippers trying to play through the Blake Griffin distraction. Another thing that makes tonight’s games compelling is that there are some great DFS fantasy basketball options available for tonight that you can find on my FanDuel daily picks on the following slides.

The eight games on tap tonight start at 7:00 PM ET which is when FanDuel rosters will get locked down for the whole night. The only game that starts at that time is the Suns traveling to Cleveland to take on LeBron and the Cavs after losing last night to the lowly 76ers. At 7:30, the Sixers will look to make it two in a row as they travel to Detroit to face the Pistons while at the same time the Celtics host the Nuggets. At 8:00, the ESPN double-header gets underway with the Rockets and Spurs meeting in San Antonio while the Thunder-Timberwolves and Clippers-Hawks games also have an 8:00 start. At 9:00, the Hornets continue their western trip as they take on the Jazz in Utah, and the capstone of the night is the Warriors looking to avenge one of their four losses on the season as they host the Mavericks tonight in Oakland after Dallas barely edged the Lakers last night.
Normally Wednesday’s are even more jam-packed, but even with just 16 teams in action there are still plenty of ways to build your DFS fantasy basketball lineup. To see who I like tonight, check out my FanDuel daily picks on the following slides. You’ll find two slides per position–one for high-salary options and one for high-value options. Each slide contains at least two selections with extras thrown in where possible. I base each pick on the current form of each player and the positional matchups each player will face in tonight’s game.
This month, I also have started to rank my picks using stars after each selection. For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but the short version is “more stars=more confidence.” On the final slide of the post, you can see my results for the last three weeks at each level of confidence. Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the best of my picks into my lineup for today’s contests.
In this post, all salary references and references to “fantasy points” refer to FanDuel pricing and scoring. If you are looking for similar coverage specifically for DraftKings, check the box above for related posts or find the latest on our fantasy basketball hub.
If you have any questions about my picks for today or any of our Fansided fantasy coverage, you can leave them at the bottom of the page in the comments section. For an even quicker response, you can find me throughout the day on Twitter @FansidedFantasy. I’m actually on the West Coast this week for a conference which makes the timing of keeping up with Twitter a little challenging, but I’ll be sure to get you any injury news or lineup updates before things tip off tonight at 7:00 PM ET.
