The Alabama Crimson Tide have the No. 8 2016 recruiting class according to Scout. Here are five must-have recruits to put Alabama’s class in the top five.

The Alabama Crimson Tide are coming off their 16th National Championship in school history, by defeating the No. 1 Clemson Tigers in the 2015 College Football Playoff National Championship at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona earlier this month.

While Alabama routinely finishes with the best recruiting class in the country under legendary head coach Nick Saban, the Crimson Tide sit in eighth place in the 2016 recruiting class rankings, according to Scout. Alabama has 18 commits and is No. 4 in the SEC behind the LSU Tigers, the Ole Miss Rebels, and the Florida Gators.

Alabama has three players in the Top 100 according to Scout, two five-star commitments, 11 four-star commitments, and five three-star commitments. 11 of their 2016 signees will play on the offensive side of the ball and seven project as defensive players. 17 are coming out of high school and one is a junior college transfer.

Alabama will certainly finish in the top 10 with regards to recruiting as they seem to do every year under Saban. To potentially elevate the Crimson Tide’s 2016 recruiting class here are the five must-have signees the must get from now until National Signing Day on Wednesday, February 3rd.
