Joe Parsons pulled off one of the most insane snowmobile tricks ever with a reverse landing backflip

One of the big time events on Friday night at the X Games Aspen 2016 on Friday night was the men’s snowmobile freestyle. With the runs these guys were making on the course, fans of the X Games are always given a treat with the competitors pushing themselves and snowmobiles to the limits. However, Joe Parsons may have done one of the most incredible things ever on his first run.

On his first run, Parsons was performing absolutely flawlessly, but it was nothing compared to how he capped off the run. He hit the big jump that finishes the freestyle course and reeled off a backflip—which is insane enough on a snowmobile. Just to make it even more unreal, Parsons then finished it with a reverse landing:

Unsurprisingly with Parsons finishing his run with a gnarly trick like that, that run put him atop the leaderboard with a score of 90.00. That was enough to eventually hold onto the top spot and give him the gold medal in the event at X Games Aspen 2016.

This only added to Parsons’ illustrious career at winter X Games events as he’s the most decorated snowmobiler ever at the X Games and only Shaun White has more total medals (18 for White, 15 now for Parsons). He certainly got his 15th in style with his finishing trick on his first run, though.
