1. New England Patriots

It’s becoming cliché to say the New England Patriots are the place to go to get back on track if you’re a troubled player, but it’s too true to ignore. Head coach Bill Belichick has a no nonsense attitude and makes sure no one player is bigger than the team.

They have handled troubled players in the past with no issues – take receivers Randy Moss and Donte Stallworth, running back LeGarrette Blount and cornerback Aqib Talib for example.

For New England, Manziel would provide some insurance should backup Jimmy Garoppolo never develop into the player management had hoped would be when they drafted him in the second round of the 2014 draft.

Of course, there’s also the option of figuring out which young passer is the better option when Tom Brady, 37, finally decides to hang it up. The Pats have shown remarkable skill in getting great draft value for quarterbacks and they would be happy to find their starter while getting a high pick for the other guy.

One thing that’s for sure, if Belichick can’t salvage Johnny Football’s career, it’s safe to assume that no one in the NFL can.
