1. Boston Celtics

Eventually the Boston Celtics are going to cash in on some of their assets and acquire the star player that they’ve been targeting. They’ve been linked to Kevin Love before, and if Love does become available then the Celtics are going to be the favorite to land him.

They have all the draft picks and assets to get him and more importantly, they have the established talent to land a player like Love as well. If the Celtics were to go after Love, the Cavaliers would certainly want Jae Crowder in return along with other assets.

The Cavaliers would be getting a forward with lethal range that is really starting to break out in this league. Another big like Amir Johnson would probably be added to match salaries and it’s another depth piece that the Cavaliers could use come playoff time.

The Celtics would be getting the star player they have long coveted and they would still have a ton of assets to add pieces around him and can build the next big star team in Boston. There’s a reason the Celtics have been aiming to collect assets the way that they have.

It’s for moments like this and they’re going to do whatever it takes to get their man. If the Cavaliers decide to move Love, then the Celtics have to be favorites.
