Kristaps Porzingis crushes Jae Crowder trying to go for the put-back (Video)

Kristaps Porzingis tried to go for one of his amazing put-backs, but this one didn’t end all too well.

Kristaps Porzingis has taken the NBA world by storm this year, and one of the reasons he’s become such an effective player and a star is that he’s one of the better in the league at timing his put-back dunks. Time and time again this season we’ve seen him virtually come out of nowhere to throw one down after a teammate misses. It really is a thing of beauty.

Well, on Tuesday night as the New York Knicks take on the Boston Celtics, the Latvian sensation tried it again, although this time things did not work out as planned — and Jae Crowder might be a little sore tomorrow.

Following a miss, Kristaps came in with all the force that he usually does as he was looking for the put-back. Not only did he fail on the dunk, but he basically flattened Crowder by going over his back, which of course is an offensive foul.

Yeah, that wasn’t his prettiest play of the year and maybe now he knows just to be a tad more careful when trying to go for these highlight dunks. They’re nice and all, but if the way you go about it draws an offensive foul and nearly cripples an opponent, needless to say that’s not good.
