Lady Gaga to sing national anthem at Super Bowl 50

Lady Gaga will sing the national anthem before Super Bowl 50 on Sunday.

Every year at the Super Bowl, one of the biggest singers in the world always takes center stage to sing the national anthem. This year at Super Bowl 50, one of the most notable music icons today will be front and center to sing “The Star Spangled Banner.”

According to the Associated Press, Lady Gaga will be singing the national anthem before the game between the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos begins.

It makes sense for the biggest game of the year to have Lady Gaga sing the national anthem. She has received plenty of accolades lately for her work in television and she’s also up for an Academy Award next month as well for best original song.

While Lady Gaga is singing the national anthem, Academy Award winning actress Marlee Matlin will perform American Sign Language for those members of the deaf community that are watching.

The national anthem is one of the staples for prop bets during the Super Bowl weekend and it will be interesting to see how long Lady Gaga’s rendition of the anthem will last. Will it be quick and under time? Or will it be long and drawn out?
