A look at the full announcement schedule for National Signing Day that will be taking place on Wednesday.Â
College football season has been out of our lives for almost a month now, but on Wednesday it’s time for one of the bigger, most anticipated events in the game. Throughout the day on Wednesday, we will find out where some of the top high school football players from around the country will be heading to college. Yes, it’s time for National Signing Day.
While a lot of players actually enroll early in January, there are still a myriad of players who hold off their decision until early February here. Each and every year, this event gets bigger and bigger, and the announcements become even more unique. Wednesday’s festivities throughout the day will surely be no different.
Now as far as the main story heading into Wednesday, well, that’s of course the commitment of Rashan Gary out of Paramus, New Jersey. The defensive tackle is the No. 1 overall recruit in the nation according to Scout.com, and he has apparently narrowed his decision down to two schools. While it was assumed that the Michigan Wolverines would be a lock to land his services, as of late the Clemson Tigers have swooped in and peaked his interest somewhat. Now we have a two-program race for one of the best in the nation, and we’ll find out the final answer on Wednesday when Gary makes his final announcement live on ESPN.
Speaking of announcements on television, once again these will be broadcast on ESPNU, however, from a stretch of 1:00 p.m. ET to 5:00 p.m. ET, the National Signing Day festivities will be on ESPN2, a move they have never made before. So please, keep that in mind and don’t get confused when they make the move from ESPNU.
