What does Ohio State Football’s 2016 recruiting class look like on National Signing Day?

Ohio State football’s 2016 National Signing Day was a success as there were very few surprises. Some schools lose out on recruits on signing day, surprisingly, and the Buckeyes avoided any big losses, signing a solid class under Urban Meyer.

It’s hard to see a Meyer recruiting class not ranked in the top 10, especially since he’s been known for reeling in the nation’s top talent, and this year was no different.

The class is headlined by the nation’s No. 5 recruit, according to Scout, five-star defensive end Nick Bosa. Obviously, the last name speaks for itself as his older brother, Joey Bosa, is leaving Ohio State early to enter the NFL Draft. Talent clearly runs in the family.

While Bosa is the top name in the class, there are some other notables such as Malik Harrison and Malcolm Pridgeon who both committed on signing day. Harrison is a three-star athlete from Columbus, Ohio, and Pridgeon is the fourth-best JUCO transfer in the country who plays offensive tackle.

Four-star cornerback Jordan Fuller committed just two days prior to signing day, which was a huge get for Urban, beating out Michigan, among others. Four-star Austin Mack headlines the wide receivers and fellow four-star wide out Binjimen Victor is the Buckeyes’ second-best wide out signee.

Demario McCall could be the next best running back, ranking No. 81 overall, and Jonathon Cooper, ranking No. 35 on Scout, could be a stud defensive end early on.

Urban’s 2016 class will be one to remember.
