DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy hockey lineup – February 4
High Salary Goalie
Corey Crawford – Chicago Blackhawks ($8,500): Crawford is the most expensive goalie on the board tonight, and he also has the highest average of fantasy points (5.9). Crawford is a very solid selection thanks to his consistency. He picked up a win over Colorado on Tuesday by allowing just one goal and has lost just twice in his last 12 starts. Tonight’s opponent, Arizona, has been good at scoring the puck, but Crawford is hot right now and is a very attractive goalie target for tonight.
Cory Schneider – New Jersey Devils ($8,400): Schneider has put up some great numbers for the Devils this year with 23 wins and a 2.10 GAA. He looked sharp in Tuesday’s win over the Rangers and has now won five of his last six starts. On top of his stellar play, he gets to go up against Toronto tonight, one of the lowest scoring teams in the NHL. Consider Schneider the best fantasy option at goalie.
High Value Goalie
Antti Niemi – Dallas Stars ($7,100): As per usual with the Stars, be sure to check who the confirmed netminder is before using Antti Niemi or Kari Lehtonen in a fantasy lineup. Niemi has made the last four starts, but could be in line for yet another one tonight thanks to his racking up four wins in the last five games. He did surrender three goals on Tuesday, but got enough support from the talented team around him. If Niemi starts against Colorado tonight, plug him into your lineup.
Jacob Markstrom – Vancouver Canucks ($7,000): Markstrom could be on the verge of taking over the starting job from Ryan Miller. Vancouver hasn’t confirmed a starter yet for tonight, but it looks like it could be Markstrom. He sat the last two games and watched Miller struggle. Markstrom, on the other hand, has won his last three starts and four of the last five. Vancouver gets to go against a struggling Columbus team, making Markstrom a great start for your fantasy lineup.
